Handspun Grapevine Yarn

Here are some pictures of yarn spun by
Snicklefritz Yarns. She is an indie dyer of beautiful sock yarns and a new spinner. She spun a lighter version of Grapevine Merino Roving into a lovely textured two-ply yarn. I just want to squeeze it!

I had a lot of fun spinning up this roving. I first found out about it on a recent trip to Utah to visit family. Several people had told me that the shop "Three Wishes" is the go-to place for spinning supplies in the greater Salt Lake City area. Greenwood Fiberworks roving is right near the front of the store. It took me about 1/2 hour to decide what colors I wanted because they were all so pretty. As a new spinner I found the roving very easy to work with, hence the reason I visited the Greenwood Etsy site to buy more. Even though I'm an Indie dyer myself, I like buying roving from other people as my main line keeps me busy enough. Now all I need are two extra hands to I can spin twice as much!!
