One of my favorite things is to spend a day in the studio mixing dyes and creating new colorways. I recently came across this beautiful picture of a storm over the Hawaiian Islands. The colors were brilliant. Why don't storms here in Utah look like this?
Here is a picture of my interpretation of "Hawaii". It is dyed on a mixed BFL/Tussah Silk base. The bit of shine from the silk enhances the colors.
